Life sciences company Azenta (NASDAQ:AZTA) reported revenue ahead of Wall Street’s expectations in Q4 CY2024, but sales fell by 4.4% year on year to $147.5 million. Its non-GAAP profit of $0.05 per share was in line with analysts’ consensus estimates.

Reynolds (NASDAQ:REYN) Beats Q4 Sales Targets

Household products company Reynolds (NASDAQ:REYN) reported Q4 CY2024 results beating Wall Street’s revenue expectations, with sales up 1.4% year on year to $1.02 billion. Its non-GAAP profit of $0.65 per share was 12.5% above analysts’ consensus estimates.

US futures knocked by Alphabet earnings; gold strikes record

U.S. stock futures fell on Wednesday after disappointing earnings from Alphabet, while the dollar took a dive against the yen, which rallied sharply after Japanese wage data upped the chances of another rate hike. Investors shrugged off comments from President Donald Trump that the U.S. would like to take over the war-ravaged Gaza Strip and develop it economically. S&P 500 futures fell 0.5% and Nasdaq futures lost 0.9%.
