Footwear and apparel conglomerate Deckers (NYSE:DECK) announced better-than-expected revenue in Q1 CY2025, with sales up 6.5% year on year to $1.02 billion. On the other hand, next quarter’s revenue guidance of $900 million was less impressive, coming in 2.1% below analysts’ estimates. Its GAAP profit of $1 per share was 65.1% above analysts’ consensus estimates.

PHOENIX (AP) — Cavco Industries Inc. CVCO) on Thursday reported profit of $36.3 million in its fiscal fourth quarter. The Phoenix-based company said it had net income of $4.47 per share.
Ross Stores withdraws annual forecasts due to tariff pressures
Macroeconomic uncertainty due to U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff policy, along with still-high inflation, has forced many consumer-facing companies, particularly footwear, apparel and home goods, to trim or withdraw annual targets. Ross Stores said more than half the goods it sells are made in China, and it would consider raising some prices as inflationary pressures persist in the retail industry, executives said on the post-earnings call. Ross Stores expects second-quarter earnings to be in the range of $1.40 to $1.55 per share, which includes a cost impact of $0.11 to $0.16 per share from announced tariffs.
Kraken to offer tokenized securities, including Apple, Tesla, and Nvidia, to customers outside the U.S
U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange, Kraken Partners, has partnered with Backed, a leading issuer of tokenized stocks, and the Solana Foundation to bring tokenized U.S. equities to investors worldwide. According to a company press release, Backed will initially deploy SPL-based digital representations of U.S.-listed stocks (including Apple (AAPL), Tesla (TSLA), and Nvidia (NVDA)) and ETFs on the Solana blockchain. Under the Trump administration, the regulatory environment has become more favorable for companies like Kraken.

G7 nations paper over differences on tariffs and Ukraine, agree to address 'imbalances'
Top finance officials from the world's seven wealthiest democracies set aside stark differences on U.S. tariffs after two days of talks and agreed to counter global “economic imbalances,” a swipe at China's trade practices. In a communiqué issued Thursday, the Group of Seven finance ministers and central bank governors, meeting in the Canadian Rockies, left out their traditional defense of free trade and toned down their references to Russia's war in Ukraine, compared with last year. The communiqué said the G7 members would continue to monitor “nonmarket policies and practices” which contribute to imbalances in global trade.
Treasury Department to halt penny production after centuries in circulation
The Treasury is phasing out production of the penny, a coin that has been in circulation for centuries, in a move that is expected to save $56 million each year.
